Configure TCP/IP browsing
This dialog is used for configuring which TCP/IP networks the Control will search for when browsing for Students whether they be on the local network or on a different subnet.
Configure TCP/IP Client Browsing dialog
By default, the Control will perform a UDP browse for Students on the same subnet as itself. To force it to search for Students on other subnets, you must add their subnet addresses here. (You must also include the Local Subnet address).
Example:
194.150.150.255 (The local subnet address)
194.150.160.255 (Another available subnet address)
You can also specify an individual IP address or a range of addresses. The latter being particularly useful if the subnet is behind a router that has UDP browse disabled. This would normally prevent the Control from finding the required Students but by specifying the required IP address range, a broadcast packet will be sent to each machine. (Only Class C address ranges can be entered)
Example:
194.150.160.33
194.150.160.1 33
